JAMES T. REMINGTON

     James T. Remington is an AV-rated attorney, which is the highest peer-reviewed ranking. He practices in the area of general litigation including personal injury law, divorce/family law, bankruptcy, criminal law and general commercial litigation. Jim graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BA Degree with Distinction in Mathematics.

     He served two years as a naval officer in Vietnam, reaching the rank of lieutenant junior grade. He enrolled at the University of Minnesota Law School in 1972 and served as director of the Law School Misdemeanor Clinic. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1975 and practiced for three years in the Hennepin County Public Defender’s Office.

     In 1978, Jim and his wife, Judy, moved to New Richmond, St. Croix County, Wisconsin, and have been active in the practice of law for the past 30 years.

     Jim and Judy have four adult children. Jim has been active in the local community service clubs, foundations and sports. He is an avid cross-country skier and bicyclist.
