KATE J. SCHILLING

    Kate J. Schilling practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, guardianships, living trusts, special needs trusts, family law, and general civil law.

Kate graduated with honors from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in Detroit, Michigan.  During law school, she completed a Mediation Clinic as well as externships at the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.  Kate attained her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2002.  She holds a BS in Human Development and Family Studies and a certificate in Criminal Justice.  Kate was born and raised in Mosinee, Wisconsin.

Prior to attending law school, Kate was employed as a case manager for adults with developmental disabilities in Madison, Wisconsin.  She has been a volunteer guardian for a woman with a developmental disability since 2005.

Kate’s husband is a State Public Defender in Dunn County.  The couple resides in Hammond.
